Reseda is 24 weeks pregnant with an ovarian cyst the size of a basketball. Doctors perform a risky surgery to remove the cyst while not complicating the normal birth of her child.
Dec 2nd 1998: Pam goes into labor and is rushed to the hospital. With the aid of her midwife she prepares to deliver but physicians are called upon when the birth does not go according to schedule.
Pam and Tim are planning a natural home birth with a midwife when complications force them to go to the hospital. Devastated, they revise their birth plan, while retaining some of the natural birth elements they'd envisioned.
