When Is the Sweepstakes?
The Discovery Health Body Challenge Sweepstakes starts on January 1, 2003 and ends on January 30, 2003.
Who may enter?
Legal residents of United States who are 18 years of age or older. The sweepstakes is void in Puerto Rico and where prohibited by law.
How do I enter?
There are four ways to enter:
A. enter online by going to www.discovery.com/health and accessing the Body Challenge Sweepstakes page. If you are already a member of My Discovery and are logged in, just hit enter to automatically submit your information for a chance to win. If you are not a My Discovery member, you will be asked to complete a one-time registration form and become a member on your first visit. Complete the online entry form with your entry information and submit so that it is received by 11:59 PM Eastern Time on January 30, 2003;
B. enter at Discovery Channel stores by completing an Official Entry Form available at participating stores and placing it in the entry box by the close of business on January 30, 2003;
C. enter at Mall Tour events by completing an Official Entry Form available at displays that are part of Discovery Health's Body Challenge 2 mall tour and placing it in the entry box by the close of business on January 30, 2003; or
D. enter by mail by completing an Official Entry Form at mailing it to be postmarked by January 30, 2003 and received by February 6, 2003 to: Discovery Health Body Challenge Sweepstakes, PMI Station, PO Box 3538, Southbury, CT 06488-3538. No mechanical reproductions permitted.
How often may I enter?
There is a limit of one entry (either email, in-store, mall tour or mail-in) per person per day.
When and how are the winners selected?
The winners will be selected in a random drawing on February 17, 2003.
What is my chance of winning?
Your chance of winning is based on the number of entries we receive. We estimate that 25,000 people will enter.
How will I know if I've won?
The winner will be notified by mail after the random drawing. You may receive a list of the winners by mailing a self-addressed envelope to be received by February 28, 2003 to: Discovery Health Body Challenge Sweepstakes 2 Winners, PMI Station, PO Box 750, Southbury, CT 06488-0750.
What are the prizes?
One Grand Prize will be awarded - a trip for two to Spa Kea Lani in Maui, Hawaii. The prize consists of round trip coach air travel to Maui, hotel accommodations for 6 days/5 nights in a one-bedroom ocean view suite; breakfast each morning; and two spa treatments for each person. The winner will also receive a 12-month supply of Slim•Fast® Chewy Granola Meal Bars. The trip must be taken by February 28, 2004. The total retail value of the Grand Prize is $5,000.
By registering, will I automatically win something?
No, when you register, you are registering for a chance to win a prize. A random drawing will be conducted at the end of the sweepstakes to award the prizes.
I have a friend who wants to enter. Can he or she still participate even though the sweepstakes has already started?
Yes! Your friend may enter by any of the methods described above through January 30, 2003.
How many people can enter the sweepstakes?
The sweepstakes has an ongoing registration so it is difficult to say, but there is no maximum number. We estimate that 25,000 people will enter.
Why is the sweepstakes available only to U.S. residents?
Different rules and regulations associated with games of chance in other countries make it difficult to administer sweepstakes and games outside the United States.
What should I do if I can't reach the sweepstakes web pages when I try to visit?
Come back and try again another time! Many Internet sites experience "traffic jams" from time to time. Refreshing the page may help. However, if you have problems connecting to all web sites, contact your system administrator; you may have a problem at your end.
I'm having trouble entering the sweepstakes. My computer seems to be too slow or times out repeatedly. What should I do?
From time to time, the Internet experiences heavy periods of traffic. The slowdown in the registration process is often caused by a large number of consumers trying to register for the sweepstakes at the same time. If you are experiencing "time-outs" while trying to register, we suggest that you wait a few minutes or try again at a later time.
I'm a Macintosh user. Will I have trouble entering the sweepstakes?
No, the sweepstakes is equally accessible through Macs and PCs.
