Ingredients:
1/2 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
2 sticks or 1 teaspoon cinnamon
5 apples, cored, and chopped into equal sized pieces (Pink Lady, Rome, or Macintosh)
1 cup apple cider
In a large pot over medium-high heat, combine all of the ingredients and cook, stirring occasionally, for approximately 15 minutes. Remove the cinnamon sticks, then process with a hand wand, through a food mill, or mash using a potato masher.
