Ingredients:
1/3 cup unsalted butter
¼ cup almond butter, or peanut butter
¾ cup brown sugar
½ cup milk
2 tablespoons good quality unsweetened cocoa powder
2 teaspoons pure maple syrup
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
3 cups oats, not instant
Instructions:
In a medium sized pot over medium heat combine the butter, almond butter, sugar, milk, cocoa powder, and maple syrup. Heat until simmering, then add the vanilla and the oats. Stir well to combine. Working quickly, spoon out tablespoon sized portions and drop onto a foil, or waxed-paper, lined sheet pan. Allow to cool for at least 30 minutes prior to serving.
