Ingredients:
1/2 pound pork tenderloin, thinly sliced
1 teaspoon Chinese five-spice powder
3 tablespoons peanut oil, divided
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 1/2 tablespoons seasoned rice-wine vinegar
1 Thai chilli, seeded and thinly sliced
1 cup thinly sliced green onions
3/4 cup thinly sliced daikon radish
1/2 cup brown rice
1 cup plus 2 tablespoons water
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
In a rice cooker, combine the rice and water. Turn on the cooker, and allow to cook undisturbed until the cooker clicks to the warm setting. Season the tenderloin evenly with a pinch of salt, a good crank of pepper, and the five-spice powder. Toss to combine. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a medium sized skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork and sauté until cooked through, about 4 minutes. Add the chilli, additional 1 tablespoon oil, soy sauce, and vinegar. Stir, then add the green onions, radish, and brown rice. Toss to combine. Season to taste.
