Parmesan-Stuffed Dates

Ingredients:
1 pound Medjool or fresh deglet noor dates
1/8 pound Parmigiano-Reggiano, cut into 1 by ¼ by ¼ inch rectangles

Using tweezers or your finger tips, carefully remove the pits from the dates by pulling the pit from one end (the stem end) and carefully stuff with one piece of cheese. Set aside on a lined sheet pan or small baking dish. When all of the dates are stuffed, cover and transport to the party, then uncover and cook at 350 degrees until the cheese is melted, approximately 10 minutes. Be very careful when serving as they retain a lot of heat.
