In so many ways, they're like the rest of us. Elaine and Frank are hard-working, devoted family people, wrestling with every day life, and the challenges it brings.
Elaine is her mid-forties, mother to a 6-year-old boy, and serves as a "seeing eye person" to her aging American Eskimo dog. She drives her Nissan back and forth to her job at a bank doing insurance work.
Frank is a jovial guy in his early 50s, a professional bowler, at home in Broomfield, NJ when not traveling from tournament to tournament.
They eat, sleep, and go about their business like we all do.
Enter Drs. Oz and Roizen.
Suddenly there's a mirror (or a cardboard cut-out) in front of them (us?) to show how their bodies are holding up to these challenges. Not too well.
As a result of poor eating habits and a busy, sedentary lifestyle, they find their bodies are aging faster than they should, and they are running a high risk of serious health problems. (Sound familiar?)
As the photos demonstrate, Drs. Oz and Roizen put them through a three-month program, and on the path to healthier living. This path that was not, however, without its emotional and physical detours.
Tune in to YOU: Staying Young to join them on their journey.
