Elliot is the de facto leader of the OPC practice; he's highly intelligent, patient, forgiving and extremely empathetic. He believes in strong interpersonal relationships and desires to help patients through the difficult process of recovery.

Elliot stumbled his way into the family business. He began his career as an Olympic kayaker and never considered joining his mother's (Joan's) practice until he realized that he could use the prosthetic tools to fix his kayak. He began assisting his mother's technicians and quickly became an expert. Ultimately, he walked away from pro kayaking and joined the family practice.

Elliot studied orthotics and prosthetics at Northwestern University after completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Maryland. He became certified in orthotics and prosthetics in 1997.
