Baby Toys and Games for Three to Six Months

Physical contact is crucial to development in young children. According to Dr. Singer, "In the first six months, the main thing is the child being able to reach out and touch, occasionally to taste things, bite on them, squeeze them."

As baby's reflexes begin to develop, it is important to allow the child to explore by touching. The grasping reflex will become fully developed during this time, making toys such as a rattle or soft squeeze toys ideal.

  • Peek-a-Boo
  • Singing
  • Imitate Baby's Dialogue
  • Hide Toys and Make Them Reappear
