Either by crawling or cruising along furniture, your baby will now become more mobile, so it is important to continue baby-proofing your home.

Your baby is also developing better communication skills, perhaps by speaking very simple words or pointing at objects. Help develop these communication skills through games involving gestures and simple identification.

Hiding games are enjoyable at this phase and stacking or nesting games tend to remain a favorite.
