Life. Live it. Give it.: The Initiative

Life. Live it. Give it. is designed to focus attention and increase awareness of the importance of organ donation. As of today, more than 98,000 men, women and children are on the organ transplant waiting list. Donation and transplantation can save their lives, yet the need for organs far exceeds the supply. Every day, 18 people die waiting for an organ transplant that would give them a second chance at life.

Discovery Health Media, in partnership with Donate Life America, continues its commitment to educate viewers about the importance of organ donation. We are proud to present an encore showing of Transplant! — a three-part series following the emotional journey of organ procurement and transplantation, airing Thursday nights, April 10, 17 and 24.

In addition to programming, Discovery Health continues to air PSAs featuring public figures with personal connections to the cause, including Chris Klug, the first transplant recipient to win an Olympic medal.
