American Cancer Society

Breastcancer.org is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing the most reliable, complete, and up-to-date information about breast cancer. Its mission is to help women and their loved ones make sense of the complex medical and personal information about breast cancer, so they can make the best decisions for their lives.

National Cancer Institute
The nation's primary agency for cancer-related research and education, the National Cancer Institute is part of the National Institutes of Health. The Cancer Information Service, part of the NCI, interprets and explains research findings to a general audience. Through a network of fourteen regional offices located throughout the country, the CIS serves the entire United States, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. To receive a personalized response to your specific questions about cancer, call the Cancer Information Service (CIS) at 1-800-4-CANCER (1-800-422-6237) Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. local time to speak with a Cancer Information Specialist. Deaf and hard of hearing callers with TTY equipment may call 1-800-332-8615. Callers also have the option of listening to recorded information about cancer 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Clinicaltrials.gov
This searchable database developed by the National Library of Medicine, offers information on clinical research studies. It also includes an overview on clinical trials, explaining the purpose of research studies and guidance on questions to ask before taking part in one.

Cancer Trials
A service of the National Cancer Institute, it offers information on various kinds of cancer and clinical trials in general and a searchable database on trials in process.

Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation
The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation is dedicated to eradicating breast cancer as a life-threatening disease by advancing research, education, screening and treatment. Volunteers around the world work through local Komen Affiliates and Komen Race for the Cure® events to further the Foundation's mission.
